1/12/2006 - Roger Arrick - Synthesizers.com - updated with clarifications. Reasonable Price Changes Coming March 1, 2006 Well, it's been 6 years since the first Synthesizers.com products came off the production line. Can you believe it?! I'm sure some of you old-timers remember the initial chaos on Analog Heaven. Our fellow Synth guru Zon was the first to take the plunge and purchase a few blank panels just to see if this whole thing was legit. My Business Philosophy remains intact and my goal continues to be to stay in business for a long time (decades if possible) - God willing and the creek don't rise. Since 2000, the only price adjustments, with minor exceptions, have been for the ever-increasing cost of American Walnut. Apparently this stuff doesn't grow on trees! I've needed to do a price change for the last 2 years but could never find the time. So, on March 1, 2006 I'll be making price adjustments for most products to compensate for parts and labor costs. With a little luck, these will last for another 6 years. I don't know exactly what all the new prices will be yet, but most should be close to the US inflation rate. The new pricing will affect any product PAID FOR On or after March 1, 2006. Q960 series will not experience a price change at this time. New entry system purchase plans will be affected immediately. Entry system purchase plans that began prior to Jan 12, 2006, will be kept at the $100/mo pricing as long as the plan is maintained. See http://www.synthesizers.com/system-entry1.html for details about how the plan works. Entry System purchase plans that begin by having their first payment made on/after Jan 12, 2006 will be at the new price of $120/month which is already reflected on the new order form and web page. Synthesizers.com products will continue to be the best bargain in town so please compare. A list of synth manufacturers are listed on our Links page. Thanks to all of you for making Synthesizers fun. Peace and happy Synthing, Roger
